A funeral service for Roosevelt W. Daniels, Jr., 57, of Clarksville, IN, will be on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Christ’s Church for Our Community, 1226 Krupp Park Dr, Louisville, KY 40213. Visitation for Roosevelt will be on Friday, August 7, from 5 PM – 7 PM at Neurath and Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, 1832 W. Market St, Louisville, KY, 40203 and on Saturday, from 12 PM – 1 PM at the church. Due to local health concerns from COVID-19, visitation will be limited to 50 patrons with face coverings required. We ask for the public to plan accordingly, and if unable to attend, please feel free to place tributes onto Roosevelt's tribute wall.
Roosevelt W. Daniels, Jr. was born December 13, 1962 to the late Roosevelt W. Daniels Sr. and Vernell Daniels in Hartford, Connecticut. On Thursday, July 30, 2020 the loving spirit of Roosevelt W. Daniels Jr. was called to his eternal rest.
Roosevelt grew up in East Hartford, Connecticut. He was a graduate of Weaver High School and had some college education. He devoted nearly 15 years to Pratt & Whitney has an engineer. Roosevelt finished his career has a medical equipment technician that allowed him to travel which was a desire.
Roosevelt united with Christ at an early age in life. This journey started at Greater Joy Mission Church of Deliverance. Later, he became a member of Anointed Tabernacle Jesus of Christ. Roosevelt was a prominent servant of the church. He was a deacon, work with the youth, media and any other place when needed. Roosevelt had a servant heart for the kingdom of God. Once settled in Louisville, Roosevelt attended Christ’s Church for our Community until his illness became too much.
Roosevelt leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Albertina Taylor Daniels; two daughters, Amber Daniels and Takai Daniels. He is survived by his siblings: Christopher Brown of Georgia,Michael Daniels of Connecticut, Rodney Daniels of Connecticut; Devon Daniels (Tamika) of North Carolina; Shantell Daniels of Connecticut. 9 grandchildren; and a host of family members of aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins and very loving friends from which he has crossed paths.
Special persons who mourn his death are Goddaughters, Shakira Slaughter and India Hayes; Best friend, Eric McCrorey.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
