Tammy Marie Elliott

April 10, 1978 ~ September 9, 2020 (age 42)

Obituary

Tammy Marie "TT" Elliott transitioned to be home with the Lord on September 9, 2020, surrounded by her children, family and friends.  She was the youngest of six children and was born to the late Shirley and Clifton Elliott on April 10, 1978, in Louisville, Kentucky.

Tammy worked as a manager at McDonalds (New Albany) for over two decades and was known as “Mama Dukes” to her colleagues. She loved to cruise around listening to music, making stops at the park, cooking and using her personality to create smiles and bring joy to others. Known as Beautiful, Lovable, Caring and Aspiring, Tammy worked tirelessly to support her four children, Tresean McDonald, Jordan Elliott, Breanna Elliott and Cameron Elliott. Her children gave her life, she loved them beyond anything measurable and never hesitated to tell a person about her babies. Mama’s tradition was buying cookie cakes for their birthdays.

Known as “Granny” to Aiden (Granny’s Baby) Crosier and Bentlee (Nana’s Baby) Elliott, she loved cooking them pancakes, playing toys and spending time with her grandkids. She would get excited telling the world about “her babies” too; some say she acted like she birthed them.

While Tammy never met a stranger and was loved dearly by her family and friends; her gratification came from taking care of children who were not hers.  She always opened her home up to anyone who needed it, making sure food was available, hot showers and a pillow to lay their heads.

As her health began to decline, she battled multiple illnesses, procedures and hospital stays, but Tammy remained in positive spirits and maintained the Tammy attitude.

She leaves to cherish her memories her beloved children, Tre, Jordan, Bre and Cam; four brothers, Jimmy (Birginia), Donald (Teresa), Timmy (Kathy) and Lloyd (Shelia) Elliott; one sister, Sandra Carroll (Steve) Elliott and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, but she was exceptionally close to her niece, Stephanie and great-niece, Haley. Tammy also leaves behind her special friend, Charlotte Buchanan.
